Arboriculture

Arboriculture consists of the practices and techniques of caring for individual trees.

The purpose is generally to manage the trees for ornamental or aesthetic reasons, often in a garden or in an urban setting. In this, it needs to be distinguished from Forestry, which is about growing trees en masse, as a crop. Arboriculture can be considered to have a similar relationship to Forestry as gardening has to agriculture.\n
