Arbitron

Arbitron is a radio audience research company in the United States.

It does so by randomly selecting people and cold-calling them. People who agree to participate are given diaries to fill out describing what radio programs they have listened to. This information is then sold to radio companies and advertisers. Information is collected and available on a regional basis.
