Syende fiskerpige (Sewing fisherman´s wife)
Anna Kirstine Brøndum Ancher (August 18, 1859 - April 151935), was the only of the Skagen Painters that was born in Skagen. She studied drawing in Copenhagen and Paris. In 1880 she married fellow painter Michael Ancher.

Despite pressure from society that married women should devote themselves to household duties, she continued painting after marriage.

She mostly painted intimate scenes from the everyday life of women and children, and focused mostly on the light and colours of the paintings.
