Algirdas Brazauskas

Algirdas Mykolas Brazauskas (born 1932) is Prime Minister and a former President of Lithuania.

He became acting President on November 25, 1992, was confirmed as President on February 25, 1993, and served until February 25, 1998. His successor was the victor in the elections, Valdas Adamkus.

He has been Prime Minister since July 3, 2001, appointed by Parliament.
