Alasdair Gray

Alasdair Gray (born 1934) is a Scottish writer born in Glasgow. World acclaimed by his first novel Lanark: a life in four books, an almost 30 years work published in 1981, Gray is also one of the greatest scottish artists, and illustrates his books himself. Among his best known works are A History Maker, Something Leather, Unlikely Stories, Mostly and Poor Things.
