1936 Winter Olympics

Some times called Hitler's great victory, the 1936 Winter Olympics were held in the villages of Garmisch and Partenkirchen in Bavaria. Hitler, the German Nazi leader, wished to show the world that the 'Aryan' team the National Socialist state had assembled was better than everyone elses', and would win all events.

In point of fact, the German team did win 33 Gold Medals, and 89 Medals in all Olympic categories, so they did quite well, coming in first place, which greatly boosted Hitler's ego.
